Monique was born and raised in northern New Jersey and has lived in Maryland for over 5 years. Her professional career has spanned the public and private sectors, from managing scientific research & development efforts in multiple federal government agencies to private sector pharmaceutical industry positions in medical writing, drug safety & regulatory affairs.

In her work leading global cross-functional teams and in volunteer board positions she's held, respectful collaboration has been the key to her success. Monique will bring that same spirit of advocacy and a responsibility to the community to this role as a member of the Board of Education.

Monique is married to Hugh and together, they have three children. One child is currently enrolled in a Howard County Public School.
